Frequently Asked Questions

Who runs the scheme?
All schemes are community lead and run by the members with support from the Safer Vale Partnership. A scheme member is appointed as the co-ordinator and creates the link between the scheme members and the Safer Vale Partnership.

How much will it cost me?
Neighbourhood Watch is FREE - in fact you may even save money on your insurance premiums.

What will I have to do?
It's entirely up to you. Some people have more opportunity than others to give some time and are able to help in the running of the scheme.

How many houses should be included?
The bigger the scheme the more difficult it can be to administer.

There isn't an ideal number, however schemes of approximately 30 members are enough for one person to manage.
