Penarth Business PACT

Business PACT is currently being re-launched in Penarth at the moment, and it isn’t as yet up and running, although will only be a few weeks.  It is a scheme that allows information relating to business related offences to be shared amongst the members that are signed up to business pact. 

It allows repeat offenders and people who commit serious business related crime to be banned from all stores belonging to the business PACT scheme.  These offenders are served notices banning them from the store for a period of 12 months.  Should they breach this then the order can be extended.

Also it allows information such as CCTV footage and stills and other relevant information to be shared store to store and with the police.

It increases the awareness of the staff in relation to business related crime and who is operating in their area. 

The staff also fill in incident forms of any incident of note occurring in their store so that this information can be shared by other members but also with the police.  The type of information we would receive on these incident forms would generally go unreported in it were not for the Business PACT scheme.
