Swoosh is THE website for young people like you in the Vale of Glamorgan. Swoosh provides you with up to date news, events, information, activities and a full list of organisations in the Vale.

Swooshis a local website offering information, news and advice for all young people. This new website is supported by the Welsh Assembly Government and linked to a national website for young people called CLIC.


Who is Swoosh for?

There are roughly 22,000 young people aged between 11-25 living in the Vale of Glamorgan, Swoosh offers advice and information access to all young people in this area of Wales.

Swoosh provides young people with information on a wide range of topics, services, issues and where to get support. There is an online directory of all the organisations in the Vale of Glamorgan who offer activities and services to young people. These include sporting clubs and leisure activities, youth centres and voluntary groups, social and health services and careers and education and many more!

The Swoosh ( http://www.swoosh.me.uk/en/info/law-rights/) website allows young people and the organisations that work with them to upload articles, pictures, videos, designs and publicise events and activities in the Vale of Glamorgan. Swoosh also works with young people on youth editorial groups to lead the development of the website and upload content.
 

What is so great about Swoosh?

* The content of Swoosh is created, written and updated by young people and the organisations that support the activities

* Swoosh allows young people to have a voice and promotes the exchange of views and experiences

* The content and information of Swoosh is specific to the local area of the Vale of Glamorgan

* Swoosh showcases and celebrates young people's achievements as well as creative ideas and skills i.e. design, creative writing, video and photography

* Swoosh promotes participation and inclusion through youth-led editorial groups on a local and national level

* Swoosh works closely with networks across Wales to share information, resources and projects with young people

Are you a young person interested in joining the Swoosh Editorial Group?

We are looking for budding young reporters, and those of you with online media interests to come along to and join the Swoosh Editorial Group. This group meets up to discuss the running, content and development of Swoosh. If you choose to be a part of the group you will be a key player in continuing Swoosh's success so far. Not only will you be the Swoosh Editors first port of call, you will be the official reporters, content providers, researchers and promoters, representing young people all over the Vale of Glamorgan.
